Canadian Rockies Trip

Join us for a 12-day Road Scholar adventure, July 19-30 2018, exploring the beautiful Canadian Rockies, including two days aboard the Rocky Mountaineer train. We start from Calgary, visiting Banff and Lake Louise, continuing on to Jasper and the Athabasca Glacier, boarding the train for our journey through the mountains with an overnight in Kamloops, finally completing our trip in the coastal city of Vancouver.

This is an ACTIVE program with 4 expert-led lectures and 14 field trips providing the educational enrichment that you expect from Road Scholar. Among the highlights are riding a glass-enclosed gondola to the peak of Sulphur Mountain, journeying along the Icefields Parkway to explore the Athabasca Glacier, and enjoying the spectacular mountain scenery from your glass-domed railcar.
