1600 St Bernard Dr
Leader: Sylvia Patterson
“Jerusalem in Miniature” is a beautifully landscaped, four-acre park designed to provide a natural setting for 125 miniature reproductions of some of the most famous historic buildings and shrines in the world. The masterpiece of stone and concrete is the lifetime work of Brother Joseph Zoitti, a Benedictine monk of St. Bernard Abbey. Begun as a hobby, using various materials he could find, plus infinite patience and a remarkable sense of symmetry and proportions, he recreated some of the greatest edifices of all times.
There will be a short film before we go into the park. Afterward we will visit the Abbey Church. Cost is $6 per person. Dutch treat lunch will be at All Steak in Cullman. We will carpool from a designated meeting place to the venue.
