Leader: Jani Brill
Participants will travel by passenger van to visit the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, with lunch in the Garden Café, before touring the garden. Afterwards, we will have dinner en route to our overnight lodging in Alexander City. Monday morning our adventure continues as we journey on to Jim Scott’s stunning 12- acre magical creation hidden on Lake Martin. Mr. Scott has devoted his life to creating a breathtaking wonderland of flora and fauna along winding pathways that lead to numerous streams, waterfalls, caves, grottos, and numerous vignettes of lush tranquil hydrangea, ferns, mountain laurel, Japanese maples, gardenias, conifers, and babbling brooks, all among European statuary picked up on his trips abroad. We will enjoy a lunch in the garden before we depart for Huntsville.
Participants must be physically fit and able to walk on slippery, wet paths and steep hillsides. Sturdy shoes required. Cost is $126 per person, not including meals. Do not send payment until requested by the trip coordinator
