Have you ever wanted to learn how to fly fish? If so, join this introductory class for a comprehensive day of Fly Fishing Instruction 101. This is a class for newbies who seek basic instruction.

The class will focus on types of rods, reels, backing, lines, leaders, gadgets, and attire. Safety while fly fishing will be discussed. Fly fishing connections and knots will be covered. Other topics to be discussed are aquatic entomology (basic fish food and fly patterns), basic types of flies, basic casting, and advice on how to land your fish after the hook is set.

This is a full-day class, beginning at the library and then moving to a place where fly rod casting can be practiced. Participants are asked to bring their own lunch. Rods, reels, supplies, etc., will be furnished.
