This course examines the legacy of Old World Spanish Masters (including Sorolla, Goya, Picasso, and others) and their impact on artists in the New World. We will investigate the New York Hispanic Society exhibition and discuss featured artists including Rivera, Kahlo, Basquiat, Botero, and the folk art of Oaxaca and other areas.
