Understanding Medicare

The course is a four-part series discussing government-provided Medicare insurance. This program will cover the services provided by Medicare A & B, costs, and areas that are not covered. Included will be a discussion and explanation of other insurance products that are commonly used to cover “gaps” in Medicare coverage such as Medigap plans (Medicare Supplements), prescription drug plans, Medicare Advantage plans and indemnity plans.

The course will conclude with a discussion regarding community resources that can assist individuals based on income and needs. The four sessions will include:

  • Part 1-Medicare A and B
  • Part 2-Medicare Supplements and Rx Plans
  • Part 3-Medicare Advantage Plans, and
  • Part 4-Community Resources.
