Leader: Sylvia Patterson
The Huntsville Madison County Veterans Memorial is dedicated to those who answered the call of duty in the Armed Forces, protecting our country and way of life. It is a place of reflection and national pride, honoring by name Madison County veterans killed in action from World War I to the present, as well as Medal of Honor recipients. It reminds us and future generations that freedom is not free but often requires great courage and sacrifice. A free people must always be prepared to defend that freedom at whatever cost.
We will park in the empty lot across from the Roundhouse and walk the short distance to the Memorial.
Dutch treat lunch follows at Under the Radar. Rain or shine event.
Activity level: walking two blocks, standing on level terrain.
