(Rescheduled from 1/29 cancellation.) Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge in Decatur annually hosts thousands of sandhill cranes, ducks, geese, pelicans, and other waterfowl. It also hosts an increasing number of majestic and endangered whooping cranes. It is home to almost 300 species of birds, plus mammals and reptiles including bobcats, otters, deer, coyotes, and, yes, alligators! Transportation will be by personal vehicle. Directions will be provided after Rally Day.
