Albert Lane is one of Huntsville’s most beloved and collected artists. A native of Michigan, he first came to Huntsville in 1939, married a local girl, and they returned to Michigan. Following the war, he painted extensively in Europe and several major cities in the U.S. His art became popular with serious collectors in each of these locations. He decided to return to Huntsville in 1963, and he became known in the South for his skill and techniques in all mediums depicting historic architectural landmarks. Today his paintings are treasured possessions of those fortunate enough to own them.
