Instructor: Jim Harlow

Jim Harlow will introduce participants to General Robert McAllister, his great-great-grandfather, who was in command of the 11th NJ Regiment of the Army of the Potomac for almost the entire Civil War. Information is based on the book, The Civil War Letters of General Robert McAllister. In addition to describing the many battles and battlefields in which he was engaged, the letters are very revealing of the attitudes of soldiers in the field and the top Army command.
