After World War One, aircraft technology had progressed to the point that some adventurous individuals decided to initiate passenger and mail services between major cities. By 1925, most European countries and the Americas had rudimentary airline services. The course will cover those early intrepid companies – some that survive to this day and some that did not. We will explore the people, technologies, and the successes and the failures of those airlines around the globe.
