Learn a brief history of screen printing going back to its origins in China. Participants will be given an overview and demonstration of how the presses work, how to create designs for printing, and uses of screen printing. Each participant will print a souvenir t-shirt with single color designs on front and back, learn in-depth the processes for preparing screens and printing on fabric with plastisol ink – a hands-on session. Participants will each print a two-color poster to learn the process of multiple-color screen printing on paper with water-based inks, also a hands-on session. Material Fee: $25
