Humans spend a lifetime gathering mental images and making associations; why not utilize that ability? Stimulated by electrical & chemical actions, Mind Mapping is a natural approach to organizing information or tasks, creating plans, and brainstorming. A mind map is a diagram used to visually organize information. It is hierarchical and shows relationships among pieces of the whole, often created around a single concept, drawn as an image in the center of a blank page, to which associated representations of ideas such as images, words, and parts of words are added. Major ideas are connected directly to the central concept, and other ideas, thoughts, or information branch out from those major ideas. Participants will never make a list, plan something, or organize information the same way after learning to Mind Map. Required materials: sharpened colored pencils (min. 8) and several sheets of white printer paper.
