11-Learning & Making Music

This program helps participants learn and make music with the New Horizons Band of Huntsville. Huntsville’s New Horizons Band is as an ensemble for adults who never had the opportunity to play a band instrument, for those who played long ago and wish to refresh their musical skills, and for those who already play an instrument but wish to learn a different one. Participants play in one of two groups: one for those new to music or their instruments, and another for intermediate players. The Band is sponsored and administered by the Huntsville Concert Band and led by volunteers from the Concert Band. Instructors have years of experience teaching music and directing bands of varying skill levels. A member of the New Horizons International Music Association, the New Horizons Band of Huntsville recognizes that everyone has musical potential that can be developed to a level that will be personally rewarding.
