33-NACC Tour
September 11 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
The National Children’s Advocacy Center was founded in 1985 to coordinate a multi-disciplinary response to child abuse. Child sexual abuse is a criminal justice issue, a child protection issue, a medical issue, and a mental health issue. No one agency can address all of these issues, so the only way to address child sexual abuse is to have a multi-disciplinary team which includes law enforcement, Department of Human Resources, therapists, prosecutors, victim advocates, and medical professionals. This model, started in Huntsville/Madison County, has been used by more than 1,100 similar programs throughout the United States and internationally. NCAC is located at 310 Dallas St, NE; Huntsville, AL 35801. Min/Max: 3/12
