4-Moon Trees

Moon trees are trees grown from seeds taken into orbit around the moon. This 45-minute presentation concerns the moon trees carried on the Apollo 14 mission in 1971. We will discuss the history of the moon trees, their association with the Bicentennial celebration, and their impact on the social and physical landscapes where they were planted.
