5-Managing Health Care Expenses
Health care expenses are one of the most significant costs retirees face. Yet many people don’t know how Medicare works, what it covers, and potential gaps. This program provides an overview of Medicare, including eligibility, enrollment timing, and the different parts of Medicare. Attendees will learn how Medicare works with private insurance options, including prescription drug coverage, Medicare supplement policies, and Medicare Advantage plans. They will see how coverage decisions affects both costs and access to care. The seminar also explores common out-of-pocket expenses, services not covered by Medicare, and why health care costs may increase over time. Participants will be introduced to long-term care, including different levels of care and the importance of planning ahead. This presentation will help retirees become more informed health care consumers. Max: 36
