50-Farm to Fork

Join us for a walk through the life of a beef animal from birth on the farm to the packaged beef products found at the grocery store. Topics will include basic cattle care, nutrition, growth, and how animals are raised responsibly and humanely. We will also discuss what happens at harvest, how beef is processed, and how grading works. Along the way, participants will gain a better understanding of the people, practices, and standards that help bring safe, high-quality beef to the table. This class is conversational, informative, and designed to answer common questions about how cattle are raised and how food gets from the farm to your plate.
