Why is beauty more important today than ever before? This course will explore concepts pertaining to the interaction of the beautiful with ethics and truth. Philosophical positions will include German Idealism (Kant, Hegel, Schelling) and modern philosophy (Adorno). Examples will be taken from art, poetry, and music.
