Instructor: Henry Turner

This course will examine the private and political lives of the five Alabama Governors interred at Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville, Alabama. You will view photos as you consider the biographies of these five Huntsville residents who served as Governors of the State, with an extra bonus of a sixth one who helped pave the way to Alabama’s Statehood and whose misfortune led to his death elsewhere.

On the final day, you will enjoy an outing to tour their final resting place.
