Our Quirky South

March 7, 2019 @ 9:30 am – 11:00 am

Leaders: Kathy Kazak and Will Elliott

Kelly Kazek and Wil Elrick will give two presentations on the Quirky South. This husband-and-wife team travels the backroads of the South, seeking out odd roadside attractions and amusing history. They will present highlights of their travels and discuss origins of
Southern lore such as why cornbread and milk is the ultimate Southern treat, why one should always wipe church pews and Walmart scooters in case a” nekkid” person was there before you, and more fun pop culture, as well as lots of other useless information. Learn about Southern expressions such as “directly,” “piddling around,” and “fixing to.”
