Tax Law Changes

February 1, 2019 @ 9:30 am – 10:30 am
Downtown Library Auditorium

Instructor: Don Cloud and Charlie Harriman

This class will review the fundamental changes made to tax laws in early 2018. Class attendees will learn to prepare themselves better this tax season and further understand the impact of these tax changes in government, business, and their own homes. Key topics to be discussed are the changing tax brackets, larger standard deductions, charitable giving, and how business tax rates are affecting the economy. Attendees will be encouraged to ask questions and engage in discussions about what helps create a sound tax plan. For many, tax planning is a daunting task, but it is hoped that at the end of the class, attendees will walk away with some new ideas and approaches to detailing an effective strategy for this tax season.
