The rapid evolution of AI in society presents both great promise and significant challenges. AI is transforming healthcare, education, environmental management, and productivity by offering personalized services and fueling scientific breakthroughs. At the same time, it raises pressing concerns about job displacement, privacy, bias, misinformation, surveillance, and the erosion of human accountability. This program will examine specific applications of AI across multiple fields while considering how society can harness its potential while safeguarding against misuse.
