This trip will begin with a bus trip from the U.S. Space & Rocket Center for a tour of the MSFC facilities, including the Propulsion Research & Development Laboratory. Participants will visit the Redstone Test Stand, a National Historic Landmark, where static tests of the Juno 1 and Mercury Redstone Launch Vehicles were performed from 1953 to 1961. The tour departs at 12:30 pm from the blue canopy located in front of the main entrance to the US Space &
Rocket Center and lasts approximately 2 – 2.5 hours and returns to the main entrance at the Rocket Center. Fee: $20.
