In 1905, the 26-year old Albert Einstein published four revolutionary papers that had major effects. He turned the scientific world upside-down with his theory of special relativity, which changed our understanding of time and space. Finally, he enunciated the most famous equation of all time, the equivalence of mass with energy: E = mc2. Each of these contributions will be discussed in the context of the scientific thought of the time and will emphasize how these ideas remain relevant today.
