This course is divided into three class sessions designed to provide a comprehensive overview of Elder Law and estate planning. Class #1 is a discussion of the various documents and techniques that can be used to prepare a comprehensive estate plan. Class #2 is a discussion of the probate process and how that process differs for a Testate Estate (one with a Last Will & Testament) vs. an Intestate Estate (one with no Last Will & Testament). Class #3 is a discussion of special topics in Elder Law including Guardianships, Conservatorships, Long-Term Care Planning, Medicaid Planning, aid and attendance, and elder abuse.
