Every Monday and Friday in October:
This class will explore the puzzles, adventures, and ideas of physics and examine how our view of the universe has evolved. Original sources and anecdotes will serve as illustrations whenever possible. Topics for the classes are: Introduction; Action Principle; Relativity and the Speed of Light; Entropy and Information; Quantum Theory; Central Mysteries; Quantum Field Theory; the Standard Model and how this effects everyday life.
