Understanding Medicare

The course will consist a of 4-part series discussing government-provided Medicare insurance. It will cover the services provided by Medicare A & B, costs, and those areas that are not covered. Included will be a discussion and explanation of other insurance products that are commonly used to cover “gaps” in Medicare coverage such as Medigap plans (Medicare Supplements), prescription drug plans, Medicare Advantage plans, and indemnity plans. The course will conclude with a discussion regarding community resources that can assist individuals based on income and needs.
