We are all aware of civilizations that began, developed, and died before our time (Greece, Egypt, Rome, Aztec/Incan Empires/ancient China, etc.). In our modern era, England, Spain, Italy, India, and Portugal all became empires, often with colonies, only to settle back into the family of nations. This series will explore six provocative arguments for why civilizations fail and will include a discussion of whether decline is in Western Civilization’s (and America’s) future.
