What was Huntsville like in 1950 before the Army reactivated Redstone Arsenal and people from all over the world began to come to the city as part of the missile and space program? This course will answer a series of important questions: Who were the movers and shakers in this small community? Why was Huntsville chosen to host the Army’s missile program? What was it like to live in the city before all the changes of the ’50s and ’60s?
