Tai Chi (TIE-CHEE) is an ancient Chinese tradition that, today, is practiced as a graceful form of exercise. It involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing. Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion.
Luyao Ren (AKA Louis) will be our instructor and is an expert in Tai Chi. He has graciously agreed to introduce us to the basics in two one-hour-long sessions. Louis is from Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China, and is in the U.S. temporarily in order to teach through the AAMU Chinese Program. There will be two (2) sessions, Fridays, 09/24/21 and 10/01/21 at 9:30-10:30 in the Second Floor Events Room. To attend, please email Wanda Shoultes
